Collection and storage of personal data; type and purpose of its use

a) When visiting the website

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is stored temporarily in a log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer,
  • the date and time of access,
  • the name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • the website from which access is made (referrer URL),
  • the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider.

We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:

  • to ensure a smooth connection is established to the website,
  • to ensure that our website is easy to use,
  • to evaluate system security and stability, and
  • for other administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (f), of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest arises from the data collection purposes listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

Disclosure of data

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only share your personal information with third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (a), of the GDPR,
  • the disclosure is necessary in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (f), of the GDPR for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data,
  • there is a legal obligation to transfer the data in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (c), of the GDPR, and
  • this is legally permissible and necessary in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (b), of the GDPR for the performance of contractual relationships with you.

Rights of data subjects

You have the right:

  • to request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned duration of storage, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected from us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;
  • to immediately demand the rectification of incorrect personal data concerning you or the completion of such data in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR;
  • to demand the erasure of your personal data stored by us in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR, insofar as you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful but you oppose its erasure and we no longer require the data but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR;
  • to receive your personal data in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request the transfer of this data to another controller;
  • to revoke the consent you have given us at any time in accordance with Article 7, paragraph 3, of the GDPR. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future, and;
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR. Generally, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or of our company headquarters for this purpose.

Right to object

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point (f), of the GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation or on grounds relating to direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation. Data security

We use the widely used SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) method during your website visit in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. We also take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

This Privacy Policy is currently valid and was last updated in May 2018. Due to the further development of our website and its offers or due to changes to legal or official requirements, it may be necessary to amend this Privacy Policy.
